If looks could kill...

As I was creating Nate, he began reminding me of somebody I used to know. Of course I initially began writing him with this person in mind, but it's so profoundly strange to look into his illustrated eyes and see a familiar soul behind them. It's even stranger, still, being confronted with the realization that I put him there and having to assume responsibility for it in the first place. I clearly didn't mean for it to become so overwhelming. But he is developing a personality apart from just my storytelling, and it's a little unnerving, because decisions I'd have him make or things I'd have him do, aren't necessarily within his character to commit to in the first place... It's not even his face that looks like the person, but his mannerisms and the way he talks and moves in my mind... it's uncanny... god... he just feels so real...

Since all the original character descriptions went down with Legendaery way back when, I'm redoing them; properly this time. I've been working on trying to get the style just right and I think I finally have it down, now. Unfortunately, It is still very TIME CONSUMING! But all the good stuff is, amirite? Honestly, I think it took so much time, because in the experimental/developmental stages, it's a lot of trial and error, But once that's basically established, workflow may speed up. Here's hoping.
