The Wolf You Feed

Yet again, another conceptual piece for the Scribble Skirmish blog. The theme this time was "fear" and my piece is very personal and true to my feelings. So I took my time, (moreso than usual) but still wasn't able to give 100%  due to time restrictions. So I had to cut some corners. Mostly with lighting and background. And it's STILL late even though we extended the deadlines to two weeks per submission. Oh well... The devil's in the details.

I honestly love so much about this piece. I love the details and the fact that at first I thought her corset dress was gray to match his shirt with a bird print and then I really looked and saw it was a cage and how he's holding on to the string that holds the key to her heart and the fact that she has the scissors but you're not sure if she's going to cut it or not.

Her facial expression, the way you can see the sadness and how she's looking away but she's not pulling her body away and yet you can see it's over even as he's leaning in and the reluctance and just the amount of emotion being shown even though there's no tears.

Just wow.

Like, I saw it when you posted originally but then I felt like an ass trying to analyse it but I keep coming back to it and even though you weren't able to give it 100% I think it's beautiful and I really got a lot from it.

Thank you, Jammi. You are right on the money. It's a tough situation -_-
